Learn About the Sun with Cincinnati Observatory

Join the Cincinnati Observatory online this Monday Jun 15 from 7 – 8 p.m. for a presentation on The Sun.

Orbiting observatories have captured stunning details of our nearest star, the Sun, including sunspots, solar flares, and coronal mass ejections.  Astronomer Dean Regas shares some amazing images and videos of the Sun’s nuclear surface and explosive personality.  Then he will demonstrate various safe solar viewing methods so you can see the Sun yourself.

Cost: $10.00 per household

All proceeds go toward Education Programming at the Cincinnati Observatory

Home Safari with Cincinnati Zoo

Join the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden for a Home Safari Facebook Live each Tuesday & Thursday at 3pm EDT where they will highlight one of their amazing animals and include an activity you can do from home.

About LDNL

LDNL has traveled the world, performing in numerous diverse locations, including: Japan, Guam, Kwajalein, Roi, the Micronesian Islands, Okinawa, Pacific Asia as well as many major U.S. cities, such as Chicago IL, Detroit MI, Evansville IN, Cleveland OH, Newport KY, Carbondale IL, Charleston WV and Honolulu HI.

The band has traveled/toured/performed with a number of national acts: Ludacris, Run DMC, Bow Wow, Good Charlotte, Mat Kearney, Plain White T’s, Naughty by Nature and Bizzy Bone/Bone Thugs N’ Harmony, to name a few.

LDNL has performed for stars such as Jessica and Ashley Simpson, Jim Furyk, Brady Quinn, AJ Hawk, Bobby Carpenter and Tony Romo. They were selected as the pre-game house band for THE Ohio State Buckeyes Football Team, and have played in front of large audiences for the World Champion Cleveland Cavaliers, the Cleveland Indians and the Cincinnati Bengals.

The band has appeared multiple times on Fox Network Television performing live for an audience of over one million viewers, and have performed numerous shows live at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland.

LDNL has appeared on, or performed with many live radio stations across the world such as: Artist First Radio, Clear Channel networks, Sirius Satellite Radio, and the U.S. Armed Forces Airwaves.

The band has performed for the U.S. troops across the world as part of the AFE/USO tours.

The band is heavily influenced by various genres of music, since each member has diverse musical taste, ranging from blues to funk, jazz to r&b, country to hip-hop, and beyond. LDNL possesses a live show that has gained Midwest recognition, as they play many of the crowd’s favorite cover songs from old school classics to new school rhymes.

The City of Montgomery presents a Drive-in Movie night featuring Sonic the Hedgehog (PG) this Friday Jun 19 from 9 – 11 p.m. at Sycamore High School (7400 Cornell Rd. Cincinnati).

Ice Cream 5k & 10k
