The Cincinnati Jazz Hall of Fame is presenting their 4th Annual Induction and Jazz Concert this Sunday Apr 8 from 7 – 9:30 p.m. at Mt. St. Joseph University (5701 Delhi Rd Cincinnati).

Entertainment will be provided by the Philip Paul Trio, The Buffalo Ridge Jazz Band, Marc Fields Quartet, Nancy James, Rob Allgeyer Trio, Tyler and Ethan Marsh and CJHoF scholarship winners Sam Breadon (Guitar) and Ziaire Sherman (Bari) both from Walnut Hills High School.

The 2018 Inductees include Melvin Broach, Steve Schmidt, Michael Moore, Rick Van Matre, Mandy Gaines, Billy Berry, Artie Matthews, Wilbert Longmire, Bill Rank and Lee Tucker. A special recognition will be made to Cincinnati Pops, Eric Kunzel, John Morris Russell, for 52 years of Jazz concerts at Music Hall and the 1966-67 Symphony Jazz Quintet (Paul Piller, Marie Speziale, David Frerichs, David Horine, Frank Proto and Robert Bradley).

Throughout the year, the Cincinnati Jazz Hall of Fame offers their John Defoor jazz master classes to local high schools and their “Jazz at Dusk” program provides professional venues for the high school jazz players to perform on a weekly basis.
