Two star-crossed lovers. One amazing and unforgettable and spectacular musical experience.

The Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra presents Romeo and Juliet, this Friday Feb 1 at 11 a.m. and Saturday Feb 2 at 8 p.m. at Cincinnati Musical Hall (1241 Elm St. Cincinnati).

Prokofiev’s Romeo and Juliet score paints musical pictures of star-crossed lovers and their journey from naive passion to a tragic end. Pianist Marc-André Hamelin performs Shostakovich’s First Piano Concerto, with CSO Principal Trumpet Robert Sullivan providing the concerto’s prominent solos. Caroline Shaw (Entr’acte) is a voice for today. She is the youngest winner of the Pulitzer Prize in Music and sometimes Kanye West collaborator.
