Once In A Blue Moon, Head To Cincy Observatory
Already have plans to view the Blue Moon this weekend? No? Then head to the Cincinnati Observatory!
When two full moons occur in a calendar month, the second one is nicknamed a “Blue Moon.” The Moon doesn’t actually turn a bluish shade, but it will give you a great excuse to bring your friends and family to the Observatory to watch a Moon-rise and star gaze!
Saturday Mar 31 from 8 – 10 p.m. the Cincinnati Observatory (3489 Observatory Pl Cincinnati) will be open for a Blue Moon party! Admission is $10 per adult and $5 per child. Free for Observatory Members.
Moonrise is at 8:22 p.m. Come enjoy tours of the two Observatory buildings and viewing of the Moon and stars through the telescopes (weather permitting). Bring blankets, lawn chairs, and warm clothes and have a nice evening outside under the Moon.
No reservations are required. This event is great for all ages! For more information, please visit http://www.cincinnatiobservatory.org/publicevents/upcoming-events-2/ or call (513) 321-5186.
Come share the beauty of the Blue Moon with friends and family!
