NAMASTE: works of Lily Mulberry

For the past 15 years 1305 Gallery has been a steppingstone for regional artists. The first 9 of those years, the gallery’s fearless leader was Lily Mulberry, before her sudden passing in April 2014.

The unique genuine personal connections that Lily developed with so many different people is a testament to her ability to have seen beyond levels and layers, and earnestly redefine and unite all of us. Her impact on her community, the artists she exhibited, and her friendships will last a lifetime.

A dedicated group of volunteers have spent the past 6 years arranging exhibitions with Lily’s vision and generosity in mind. The support of the 1305 Gallery patrons shines brightly at every Final Friday opening. It has been gratifying to everyone involved with the gallery to see the community engaging with the art on display and celebrating the artist. It’s been a true joy to be part of such a creative place, and closing the gallery doors is not an easy decision – but it is time.

On Friday May 29, 2020, 6 to 10 pm 1305 Gallery will celebrate its final exhibition. “Namaste” will focus on the works of the powerful Ms. Lily Mulberry. Again we ask those who have enjoyed the gallery in the past and also to those who did not have the chance to meet her in life, to please say goodbye.

We hope to live stream the exhibition for our Final Friday event, more information to follow.

The show will also be available -as recommended- to be viewed in small groups by appointment and on possible Saturdays and Sundays 1 to 5 pm.

Proceeds from selected sales and all donations will be put into a scholarship in Lily’s name.
