The Germania Society of Cincinnati’s 21st Annual Germania Christkindlmarkt happens this Friday Nov 16 from 5 – 10 p.m., Saturday Nov 17 from 11 a.m. – 10 p.m. and Sunday Nov 18 from 12 – 5 p.m. at Germania Park (3529 West Kemper Rd. Cincinnati).
Come enjoy the oldest and most authentic German Christmas Market in the Cincinnati region, all under enclosed, heated tents! With holiday entertainment, German music, a children’s lantern parade, petting zoo, caroling children’s groups, and carriage rides. Plus, traditional German food (including our famous dill pickle soup), German Bier, Glühwein (hot mulled wine), holiday cocktail bar, German pastries, cookies, and candies. With extensive shopping for unique imported German gifts, such as steins and glassware, nutcrackers and smokers, cuckoo clocks, linens, Christmas candy, Advent calendars, traditional music CDs, and other crafts.
This Christkindlmarkt features visits not only by jolly old Santa Claus (and Mrs. Claus), but by the German Sankt Nikolaus (Saint Nicholas), Krampus and Christkind as well. Here is the schedule for appearances by these special characters:
Friday Nov 16
Santa Claus – 5:15 pm to 7:15 pm
Saint Nicholas – 7:45 pm to 9:45 pm
Krampus – 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm
Saturday Nov 17
Santa Claus – 12:15 pm to 2:30 pm
Saint Nicholas – 3:00 pm to 6:30 pm
Santa Claus – 7:00 pm to 9:45 pm
Krampus – 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm
Sunday Nov 18
Santa Claus – 12:15 pm to 2:15 pm
Saint Nicholas – 2:45 pm to 4:45 pm
Christkind – 12:00 pm on main stage
